After almost a year of preparation, the 3rd International Young Professionals Summit has finally come to a close. If has been a fantastic effort by everyone involved.
Firstly we'd like to thank all the delegates who were able to make it to the event. Delegates represented over 25 different countries from around the world, one third of them from Africa. We would also like to thank our sponsors and partners, specifically Coca-Cola Great Britain who assisted in supporting the attendance of our many African delegates.
We will soon provide information to connect into our recorded virtual summit (including Jeffrey Sachs keynote), and summit outcomes. Watch out for those updates.

Can you help the fundraising team to fund a delegate
March 12th, 2008
There are several delegates who we would love to attend IYPS08 but who may not be able to come due to their financial situation. IYPS wishes to fundraise to help delegates from developing countries, who can bring a lot to the Summit, in terms of their passion, skills and experience, to attend. From March to June we are asking IYPF staff and friends to hold fundraising events to try to make this possible. We are also looking fir partner organisations who may be able to fund a delegate. Please contact our fundraising team leader if you can help on [email protected]
Hundreds of applications received to attend IYPS08
February 7th, 2008
The International Organising Committee have received over 300 applications for IYPS08. The delegates team is currently processing these to select successful applicants to go forward to the registration process.
As we have had such a wonderful response, not everyone will be able to attend in person, but don't worry IYPS08 will have lots of opportunity for people to attend online with our "Virtual Summit".
The Organising Committee is extremely excited about the calibre of applicants and the number of people who have offerred to run interesting peer-to-peer workshops during the event. Successful candidates will be contacted shortly with details of the registration process.
