About IYPF
The International Young Professionals Foundation (IYPF) is a not-for-profit organisation focused on:
  • Encouraging Young Professionals to actively help make a difference
  • Highlighting the powerful position and influence Young Professionals have both inside corporations and through government to achieve change

The IYPF connects members from over 130 different countries.

While we encourage any kind of engagement, IYPF focuses it's energies on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG's). The MDG's represent the greatest achievement humanity could reach to create the largest improvement to the human condition to 2015.

What is the difference between the IYPS and the IYPF?

The IYPF (International Young Professionals FOUNDATION) is the coordinating body of the IYPS (International Young Professionals SUMMIT). The IYPF was launched at the 2001 Summit, as a means of developing and continuing networks and providing support to young professionals.

Am I a 'young professional'?

The Foundation considers the term 'Young' for the purpose of involvement with the Foundation as being those people in the emerging or developing stages of their careers.

'Professional' refers to those people who have a professional attitude and a capacity through their skills and knowledge to be positive global changemakers, and who are taking the responsibility to better develop themselves to a level where they can actively contribute to the needs of their society, both locally and globally, in a professional manner.

What is a Full Member? Am I one?

In the IYPF's legal structure (a public company limited by guarantee), Full Members are the owners of the organisation (essentially shareholders). They have rights to vote on issues, nominate themselves for the Board of Directors, participate in all activities of the Foundation, and receive discounted registration to some IYPF events.

If you are unsure of your membership status, you can clarify this by emailing iypf [at] iypf [dot] org
