The IYPF connects members from over 130 different countries.
While we encourage any kind of engagement, IYPF focuses it's energies on the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDG's). The MDG's represent the greatest achievement humanity could reach to create the largest improvement to the human condition to 2015.
The International Young Professionals Foundation is proud to announce the 3rd International Young Professionals Summit, IYPS 2008, from 19th to 22nd August 2008 in Manchester, UK. The aim of the Summit is to bring together young professionals for networking, capacity building and information sharing around our core theme of “How young professionals can help to achieve the UN Millennium Development Goals " and specific topics will include:

The IYPS 08 program is loaded with things for delegates to do. The Summit itself will take place over three days and will include a mix of plenary sessions, keynote addresses, skills development workshops, knowledge exchange and development sessions, official events, networking time, project showcases, meetings, practical activities and cultural performances over three fantastic days. Choose your own agenda by attending the sessions that you are interested in.
There will also be an optional day trip on 23rd August for anyone wanting to see a practical example of sustainable development. Presenters throughout the Summit will be fantastic young professionals, delegates, representatives of IYPF partner organisations and IYPF staff.

IYPS2008 is the international gathering of the International Young Professionals Foundation. It is an event for all young professionals (IYPF members or not) who are or want to be positive change makers in their local and global community. It will be an entry point for new members, investors and friends in the work of IYPF.
Delegates will be talented and committed young professionals in developing and developed countries who are committed to or interested in developing and applying their skills, knowledge, resources and capacities to be positive change makers in their local and global community.
Delegates who attend the Summit will have the following attributes:
They will be bound by a common passion for using their skills and knowledge for the betterment of our world. The Summit organising committee values diversity and will strive to balance the selection of delegates from locations around the world. The delegate mix is expected to be geographically and demographically diverse. For example, delegates might include high school teachers from Thailand, water engineers in Australia, community workers from Zambia or lawyers from the USA. Delegates must however be between 21 and 40 years old.
