Griffith is an innovative university committed to multidisciplinary
teaching and research, and the creation and communication of knowledge.
It has five networked campuses in three cities across the Brisbane-Gold
Coast corridor.

Aviation, biomolecular science, business management, criminology,
dentistry, engineering and information technology, international
business, journalism, nursing, photonics and nanoscience, politics and
government, physiotherapy, psychology, and science are among Griffith
University’s program offerings in 2004.
A suite of health programs, including graduate-entry medicine,
dentistry, dental therapy, dental prosthetics and dental technology
will be offered from the new $36 million Griffith School of Medicine
and Oral Health Centre which will open in 2005.
Griffith values its community linkages and it has partnerships with
numerous education service providers and industries around the world,
including agreements with more than 150 institutions.
Established in 1971, Griffith University is named in honour of Sir
Samuel Griffith (1845-1920), a former Premier and Chief Justice of
Queensland and the first Chief Justice of Australia.
